Geometry Rules,” a 15-minute program for middle-schoolers showing real-world applications of geometry. Produced by James Madison University professors M. Joseph Hinshaw and Mike Grundmann, with SMAD senior Scott Graham and SMAD senior Heather Elliott.

30th Annual Bronze Telly Award

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. Telly Awards receives over 13,000 entries annually from all 50 states and countries around the world.

2009 Videographer "Award of Excellence"

"Geometry Rules" received the highest honor, the Award of Excellence, from the Videographer Awards.  More than 1,800 entries were received from entries all over the world with an acceptance rate of just 14%.

2010 Broadcast Education Association's "Best in Competition"

"Geometry Rules" was awarded the Best of Competition in the Educational / Instructional Category of the Faculty Video Competition. The project was one of the top 5 awards among 54 entries in the competition.

2009 AEGIS Video & Film Production Award

The Aegis Awards, in their 20th year, are a top grade of peer-reviewed competition in which media professionals use a point-scoring system to evaluate entries. "Geometry Rules" was awarded in the educational category.
